This year, your child’s progress will no longer be reported in National Curriculum levels for all children. This is because of the implementation of the new national curriculum for all years, which no longer provides level judgements. To support tracking and reporting of your child’s progress towards their expected goals at each year, we are continuing to use a system developed by a Sheffield partnership (STAT). We hope the information attached to this page will help you further understand the changes.
Children will continue to receive marking and feedback in the usual way, and the day-to-day conversations they have with adults and learners will continue to play an important part, alongside regular tests in Maths, Reading and Spelling Punctuation and Grammar, to ensure they achieve to their highest potential.
Y2 and Y6 children will continue to take national tests at the end of their time in those years.
