EXCITING NEWS - UPDATE
As you are aware Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Bags of Help initiative across England and Wales. The scheme has enabled 3 local community groups and projects to be awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 - all raised from the 5p bag charge.
This scheme has enabled our school a fantastic opportunity to develop our school grounds. Members of the public voted in store and our project was voted 2nd in this region - we have now been awarded £10,000!
This is a very exciting time for our school and we will be able to develop a new learning resource and a wonderful space for children to learn and develop their knowledge and experience.
Initial thoughts for development are a wildflower/wildlife area, sensory garden, vegetable plots, a pond, bird hide with bird tables and bird and bat boxes, now with the additional £2,000 we will look to make the school more environmentally friendly and purchase water butts to collect the rain in and buy cameras to go inside the bird boxes to see nature at first hand. The children are all really excited and the Eco Warriers are involved with some ideas of their own to show the rest of school.
As we progress with the project we will continue to let you know and may probably call upon any help you can give us.

Thank you for all your support with the voting - it is much appreciated.
