Spring Term- Healthy Me!

During the Spring term, Year 3 and 4's topic will be Healthy Me, this is our Science based topic and includes some fantastic learning opportunities.

We will be learning about teeth, the digestive system and food chains in Science.  In art, we will be conducting observational drawings of a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, and using work from famous artists including Guiseppe Arcimboldo as a basis for our own fabulous artwork. We will be learning all about how to stay healthy, look after our bodies and how drugs can help us and how to stay safe around them.

Year 4 children will go swimming throughout the Spring (and Summer) terms, whilst the Year 3 children will have specialist PE teaching from Active Fusion.

Our visit to Ponds Forge will enable us to try out new and unusual sports, whilst learning why it is important to stay fit and healthy.

If you have any books or resources which will support our learning in this topic, please label them clearly with your child’s name before bringing them into school.

Thank you
