Easter Challenges

Easter Challenges:

The next two weeks would have been our Easter holidays and we will be taking a break from our daily home learning challenges. We realise that many of our plans will have had to change as a result of the current national emergency.  I am posting some creative family challenges for you to try, which might give you some ideas for the 2 week break. These are posted on the parents section, under school's response to COVID-19. The activities have been sent to us by Rotherham creative learning centre. There are 100 challenges – you don’t have to do them all but there should be something for everyone to enjoy. There are other ideas and activities on their website if you want to take a look:

Friday 3rd April

Good Morning.
Hope you are all keeping well.
In school this week we would have been learning about the Christian celebration of Easter. We would have joined together to retell the Easter story and share in the Eucharist Service.
We have decided to go ahead with our Easter learning theme with some whole school activities. Here are ideas to explore the story of Easter using things you’ll easily find at home. If you can’t find the exact things, what could you use instead? Your ideas might be even better! You can watch a version of the Easter story using one of these links A donkey’s Easter story!

Make an Easter garden: make your own Easter garden in a plant pot, on a plate in a tray. There are lots of ideas online. Here’s a video to start you off.

Easter new life butterflies: make some painted butterfiles and talk about the way it looks as if a caterpillar is dead when it turns itself into a chrysalis, but it comes to life again in a new and beautiful way. Jesus’ came back to life in a wonderful new way.

Decorating Eggs
You could make People from the Easter story, paint the eggs with traditional designs for Easter Day, such as triangles spirals, tripods dots and hearts, you could dye the eggs using food colouring or plants or you could try marbling in shaving foam! See some of the links below for ideas.
Easter Crosses
Make some Easter crosses, you could print, paint or make a 3D cross. Pinterest has lots of crafty ideas you could try.
Have Fun and Happy Easter from everyone at school
