Wednesday 25th March

In Literacy over the last few weeks we have been looking at the story ‘How the Turtle got his Shell’ – the children are very familiar with the story and I am sure they will be able to tell you all about it.

Watch some of the similar Just so stories by Rudyard Kipling (there are some links below)

Choose your favourite character from one of the stories and describe them in as much detail as you can. Remember to describe their appearance and personality. You could draw/paint/create a model of your favourite character first to help you.

Remember to practise your times tables (2s, 5s and 10s) Try writing them out to see if you notice any patterns that could help you remember them.

Home Learning for Tuesday 24th March

Complete the attached number bonds to 10 activity. Try to use your knowledge of number bonds to 10 to help you e.g. If 7+3=10 then 17+3=20 and 13+7=20

Who is your favourite book character? What have you always wanted to ask them?  Write them a letter, tell them all about yourself and ask them lots of questions. Remember to use questions marks for all of your questions.

Thank You

Mrs Stothard, Mrs Williams & Mr Gambles

Monday 23rd March

Writing: We know that Mother’s Day may have been a little different this year so can you write is a diary entry to tell us all about your day. Don’t forget to include your thoughts and feelings and remember your punctuation. You can use the sound mats that we sent home on Friday to help you.

Numeracy: Complete the attached sheet of Number bonds to 10. If you don’t have a printer you can write them down yourselves.  Try and write the addition and subtract number sentences matched to each number bond e.g.   2+8=10   8+2 = 10     10-8=2       10-2=8

Good Luck!
