We believe that regular reading is the most important homework that children will do. We encourage daily reading (a minimum of 3 times a week) and children (or parents) are requested to complete the reading diary every time they read. Children who read 3 times a week or more every week over a half-term will receive a certificate of their achievements, then at the end of the year, if they keep it up, this will be celebrated!

Spellings will be given out each Friday to be learnt for a test the following Friday. A list of the spellings children should know by the end of Year 3 and 4 is located in your child's reading diary.

As a school we subscribe to Times Table Rock Stars and every child in school (Y1 to Y6) will have their own log-in. This is a fantastic way to practise times table recall; gaining in both speed and confidence.

Other Homework

Other homework which may be maths or topic related will be given on a Friday to be returned the following Wednesday.

Please ask myself, Mrs Badger or Mrs Mitchell if you require any additional information or support,

Mrs Knowles.
