Spring term

Happy new year!

Our topic throughout the Spring term is 'Whatever the weather' where we will be learning all about the weather in our country and comparing with other countries. We will be looking at extreme weather and even looking at how weather has affected where we live 'through the Treeton Floods'. The KS1 teachers have worked hard to ensure our planning continually revisits any potential lost learning from the Summer term and have incorporated this all through Year 1.

Phonics and early reading will continue to be a huge focus. We will be running some online sessions later in the term to share information about the upcoming phonic screen and how you can further support your child at home.

During Spring 2 we will be focusing on significant events of the past and finding out about 'The great fire of London'. More information to follow closer to the time.
