This week we continue with our extended home learning challenge.
The challenge is to design and make a new ‘wolf proof’ home for the pigs. You can choose which materials you want to use to make it, how big it is and how you can test it is ‘wolf proof’.
This challenge will develop children’s problem solving, investigating and observational skills. They will also develop their understanding of materials and how they can be changed. It will help them develop techniques to design and build for a purpose, including finding ways of joining different materials. They will also have chance to practice using tools. I am adding some web links to the class page and you will find lots of ideas on the internet if you search 3 little pigs STEM challenge.
