What a great start to our summer term. The children are becoming really independent and have adjusted to the routines of school really well.
This term out topic is 'In the Garden’, and our roleplay area has been transformed into a Garden Centre with lots of exciting activities for the children to complete. Additionally around the room as lots of focused learning opportunities for children to explore and deepen their understanding of their phonics, reading and maths skills. See below for examples of our classroom.
For the first half term we will be learning all about plants; different types of plants, what they need to grow and even growing our own Sunflowers.

Poetry: The Fee Fi Fo Hum - performance poetry and rhyme (1 week)

Addition and Subtraction - Consolidation from previous term (1 week)
Multiplication and Division - Counting in 2s, 5s and 10s (3 weeks)

Place value and number facts revisit (1 week)
Fieldwork: Local environment (Physical and Human Features)

Our PE days for this term are Monday and Tuesday please make sure your child has their PE kit in school on these days.
