As you will have heard in the news school will close from Friday. Some learning packs have been prepared for the children and we will be sending home some reading books today. The packs include pencils and exercise books, which you can use to record your children's learning.
I will post learning challenges on here and on DoJo for you to access at home with your child. We will also be sending letters out with some websites details and logins which you can access from home.
Please upload pictures or videos of what you have been doing on the portfolio section on class DoJo or as a message to me so we can see what you are getting upto.
Some children are already self-isolating so there is already a challenge to get you started. This will also be sent in home learning books today in the usual way.
Thank you for your support
Welcome to Class 34EW's page!
In the Autumn Term we will be learning about the Romans: where the Romans came from and why they came to England. We will also be exploring what they brought to Britain that we still use today (which is so much more than you may think!).
We will be learning about how to stay fit and eat healthily in our Science based Spring topic 'Healthy Me!'. We will learn to play new sports and practise these skills on our visit to Ponds Forge in Sheffield. We will be finding out about what foods we should eat more (and less) of to ensure our bodies get the nutrients they require to stay healthy.
Our Summer Term will include our geography based topic of 'Rivers and Mountains' where we are hoping to visit Crowden where we will try to find the source of the river in the mountains and conduct a river walk. We will also look closely in the water to find and examine some of the animals that live there - up close!
If you have any books or information which you think would be beneficial to us and our class, please let us know.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning, teachers will be available at the end of the school day.
Thank you for your support!
