Young Voices

At this time of year our Y5's would normally be looking forward to starting rehearsals for the Young Voices 25th Anniversary concert in January 2021, but of course COVID restrictions mean that this may well be a very different Young Voices year.

As it stands, we have received our music packs for the concert, and have our places provisionally reserved for the show in January. However, as with most venues, Sheffield Arena is waiting for more information about how it can stage such large events in the future.

If our January dates are indeed postponed, Young Voices have already agreed some new dates for the shows in the summer.

In the meantime Young Voices have many exciting plans in place to showcase our children's talents, including a virtual concert and an attempt to break the record for the biggest number of people singing simultaneously around the country! They also have a few star names ready to lead some of these online events.

Once we have further information about these we will be in touch. In the meantime, keep checking the Young Voices website and practise your singing at home!

Young Voices 2020

We hope the children had a wonderful time at the Young Voices concert on 7th January! It was a really exciting experience, and we had lots of positive feedback from the children and those parents who had come along to watch. There was a packed show, including

'Frightfest!', which was a real crowd favourite with some great dance moves, and the amazing Queen medley during which Tony Hadley sang an emotional version of 'Who Wants to Live Forever'.

As always Urban Strides led the dancing throughout the show, including a special number where the audience had to join in!

As mentioned, Tony Hadley was special guest along with The Shires and Ruti (The Voice 2018 winner) and the children were able to join them for many of their songs.

We've added lots of photos below for you to enjoy and remember the night!

Thanks to everyone for supporting us through our preparations for the concert, and to the children for their excellent attitude and performance at Young Voices 2020!
