Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We know that many of you will have questions regarding Boris Johnson’s speech and his reference to schools possibly reopening in June, initially for Reception, Y1 and Y6 children. We can only say that this information was as new to us as it was to you. We will be seeking clarity and further advice and instruction from the Government before we plan to reopen school in any way.
Rest assured, that the safety of our pupils and their families will be at the forefront of any future decisions we make. For those of you who are concerned about sending your child/ children to school should this go ahead in June, we are sensitive to your concerns. We want to reassure you that we recognise each families circumstances will be different and that we are not be planning to issues any fixed notice penalties for non-attendance.
We will keep you informed of any changes to the current school closure as and when we know more.
Mrs Ball and Mrs Hall
We are almost at the end of the second week of home learning. We have enjoyed seeing the wonderful home learning you have sent in via Dojo. We have had some creative and imaginative responses to the daily challenges we have set! Thank you for your support in such challenging circumstances.
The next two weeks would have been our Easter holidays and we will be taking a break from our daily home learning challenges. We realise that many of our plans will have had to change as a result of the current national emergency. I am posting some creative family challenges for you to try, which might give you some ideas for the 2 week break. These are posted on the parents section, under school's response to COVID-19. The activities have been sent to us by Rotherham creative learning centre. There are 100 challenges – you don’t have to do them all but there should be something for everyone to enjoy. There are other ideas and activities on their website if you want to take a look: http://www.rotherhamclc.org.uk/
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) School Response – 9.3.20
Treeton C of E Primary Senior Leadership Team has reviewed the current situation regarding the risks posed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in school.
With reference to the Government Action plan published on 3rd March 2020;
‘it has been agreed that at present personal hygiene is the most important way in which we can tackle COVID-19, especially washing hands more; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.’
Current advice remains in place: No school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless advised to do so by Public Health England.
However the following situations have been discussed and taken into consideration:
As more information becomes available the SLT will actively review this information and amend as necessary. Parents will be notified immediately of any changes to our current practice.
