Autumn Term
Autumn - Incredible Me!
We have a very exciting first term planned. We will spend lots of time exploring our new classroom at first, getting to know each other and settling into the routines in Year 2.
Please take a look at our subject learning overview below for this half term.
Literacy
We will become writers and avid readers through our phonics programme, which will support our creativity to become fluent readers and writers.
For Literacy, we follow the RWI Phonics programme and Get Writing Scheme. Children will be assessed in the first week of term and grouped to match their ability levels. Our Get Writing scheme links to our Read Write Inc phonics scheme and builds upon their grammar and vocabulary to provide a rich English curriculum.
Maths
In Maths, we will become mathematicians and build upon our previous mathematical understanding through practical and written methods.
