Welcome to the Art and Design Curriculum page.

 

The teaching of Art and Design sits under our over-arching curriculum policy which encompasses the threshold concepts, breadth of study and the milestones for progress by year group and key phase. 

 

Here you will find examples of high-quality finished outcomes in Art which demonstrates the children's knowledge and skills.

 

 

The images of children's work above demonstrates their knowledge and skills towards the LKS2 Key Milestones for Art:

  • Shaping and stitching materials
  • Colouring Fabric
  • Using basic cross stitch and back stitch
  • Quilting, padding and gathering fabric.

 

LKS2 learnt about the life of the Artist Gustav Klimt, analysed his work and used he colours and patterns to inpsire their own textile art.
