Autumn Term

Welcome back.

Our topic throughout the Autumn Term is ‘Explorers'. We will be looking at different explorers through history and the places they have visited.  We will be thinking about what they would have needed to take, how they would have travelled and what they found. Our literacy work will link to this with stories and poems about journeys to new / unknown places. This will include a visit to Sherwood Forest where the children will become explorers for the day.

The KS1 teachers have worked hard to ensure our planning revisits any potential lost learning as a result of the disruption to children’s education due to COVID restrictions and have incorporated this into the curriculum.
