Our topic throughout the Autumn Term is ‘Explorers'. In this second half term we will be continuing to look at different explorers through history and the places they have visited. As part of this we will be learning about space explorers. We will be thinking about what they needed to take, how they travelled and what they found. Our literacy work will link to this with stories and poems about journeys into space and the people who have travelled into space.
The KS1 teachers have worked hard to ensure our planning revisits any potential lost learning as a result of the disruption to children’s education due to COVID restrictions and have incorporated this into the curriculum.
The children will have lots of play based learning opportunities as they transition and continue through key stage one. This will enable them to use and build on the approaches to learning developed in the EYFS and Year 1. Please check out the class DOJO page for more information and photos of the classroom.
