General Information

Homework

Spellings will be given out each Monday to be learnt for a test the following Monday.

Other homework will be given on a Friday to be returned the following Thursday. It is very important that pupils complete their homework as this demonstrates their understanding outside of the lesson.

Reading

Reading is an important skill and it is one we expect you to practise regularly at home at least three times a week.  You will be rewarded with an increase in vocabulary; knowledge of how to spell tricky words; a fantastic imagination that will be useful in writing and improved comprehension skills.

As well as all the above, you will also receive a certificate at the end of each half term for reading regularly (three times) every week. Every time you read 3 times, you will receive a raffle ticket, and a draw will take place at the end of each half term with a gift voucher prize.
