Here are some resources and activities for you to complete with your child at home, if they are feeling up to it. The main thing is that your child feels better and we look forward to seeing them back in school soon.
This week in school we are reading the story 'Jack and The Beanstalk' in our literacy. We are learning to retell the story and talk about the characters and events. Below is a powerpoint which we used to retell the traditional tale which you can use, or you could find a video on YouTube. We are using a story map (pictures in order of the events in the story) to help us to retell the story as a whole class (an example of this is below)- can you create one of your own to help you to retell the story?
I have added some daily maths activities to the page for children to complete. Please encourage your child to access Numbots to practise their number bond skills too.
Please check the online BugClub book bags and read each day using the resources matched to your child's phonics stage.
Below are some resources which can be used to promote a love of reading. Please feel free to read a range of books with and to your child- you could discuss the language used, how the book is laid out, how the characters are feeling (and anything else) as you read.
Please get in touch if you need anything else,
